🛑 The Invisible Barrier: Don't Overlook Fire Door Gaps and Seals! 

It's not just about the solid door itself—it's about the small details that stop smoke and fire. 

The integrity of a fire door relies on two key things: 

• Intumescent Seals: These strips expand dramatically when exposed to heat, sealing the gap between the door and the frame to prevent the passage of fire. 

• Smoke Seals: These stop the deadly smoke from passing through, often before the heat is high enough to activate the intumescent strips. 

🚨 Compliance Check: The gaps around the door (at the top, bottom, and sides) must be within a strict tolerance (usually no more than 3mm-4mm, depending on the standard). If the gaps are too wide, the seals cannot work effectively. 

Smoke kills faster than fire. Ensure your seals are intact, undamaged, and that the door gaps are correct.
