Seeing today’s newspapers, We witnessed the incredible speed of compliance and regulation by Indian government authorities after the tragic Goa fire. 
Within little time, we’re seeing: 
 
✅ Fire safety audits of large restaurants in Odisha 
✅ Notification of occupational fire safety rules in Delhi 
✅ Consideration of third-party audits is now permitted for hotels and restaurants  
…and many more actions. 
 
This raises a critical question: 
If all this can be done overnight, were we waiting for accidents to happen and the panic button to be pressed? 
Proactive safety measures should never be reactive. Lives depend on foresight, not on post-tragedy urgency.
